Child with a limp

Age is a key factor for diagnosis
0-3 years: developmental dysplasia of hip (DDH) more female
4-12 years: Legg-Calve-Perthe disease more male
>12: slipped capital femoral epiphysis

1. DDH
Barlow test
Ortolani
Galeazzi sigh

Dx: dynamic ultrosound
treatment: Pavilk harness, surgery, cast
complication : acetabular dysplasia

2. LCP
avascular necrosis of femoral head
painless limp
cast and bed rest

3. SCFE
check LH, FSH, TSH
